INTERCESSION connects INTERVENTION, this is our Lords ministry with the Father, making
intercession for us. As Priests unto our God, our first and foremost assignment
for the Saints under our watch and care is Intercessions. For as the heart of
the Shepherd is connect with that of the sheep, so should our hearts be connect
in prayer through our Lord Christ Jesus to our Heavenly Father.
Intercession can
be defined as the action of intervening on behalf of another. The word
Intercession is also synonymous with Mediation, intermediation, petition,
intervention or negotiation or a supplication made on someone’s behalf.
And we can also
define the "prayer of intercession" as the action of saying a prayer
on behalf of another. For the interest and freedom of another; your brother,
your sister, a friend. A community, a people, a nation etc.
The Hebrew word for intercession is PAGA, meaning to entreat, implore, and pray which explains the origination, the revelation,
the connection and link with the divine. Moreso the essence of earthly intercession for divine intervention
and the intention of God from the beginning... We do
not have to go to anyone special except Jesus, our Great High Priest, to tell
our burdens and heart desires. The capacity and authority to bring Heaven
into the affairs of the Earth by Intercession is vested in the Church through
our Lord Jesus Christ Who is our Advocate and Intercessor.
The Church Intercession flames Heaven’s Intervention only if we can
PRAY and pray TOGETHER (in the Spirit). God inspired my heart, by the
revelation of His word for the POWER of INTERCESSION Prayer project as
connected to the experience and documented testimony of the early Church in
Acts 12. One of the martyrs of faith was murdered, Apostle James, Herod had the apostle James (John's brother) killed with a sword.
The Church watched that damage happen, then Apostle Peter was arrested by the
same enemy, obviously our enemy is one, the devil. Then the Church gathered to Pray,
which was the first INTERCESSION made from different units of the early Church
after the Pentecost experience, the Bible revealed it as the earnest prayer made for Peter to God by
Church.
It appeared to me that the Church was taken unawares, they weren’t expecting
such sudden attack on them. Jesus warned them early enough, pray, less you fall
into temptations. I say again, imagine if the Church had prayed or taken
preemptive and preventative measures by praying before that temptation came. I mean
to say, store up treasures for yourselves in Heaven, Prayer is muchmore a
treasure and this is one of the revelations and task this project covers in
grace. We do not have to wait to be attacked first or wait for the damages to
happen before engaging Heaven in prayers, the enemy goes about looking for whom
to devour the Scriptures reveals.
Again, He says, pray, else, you fall into troubles. The complimentary
revelation, I mean the early signs of the Lord’s caution to avoid that evil
execution must have been released to the Assembly, I guess they were distracted
to come together until the attack on Apostle James. I mean, prior
to the death of James, the revelation must have been advanced to put the Church
in the know. Deuteronomy twenty nine twenty nine reveals how our God reveals secrets of things to come to us, at that, the Church would have
taken anticipatory and proactive approach just the same way they did when
Apostle Peter was apprehended by the same enemy.
Again, I ask, what if they had not gathered when Peter was bound with
chains and thrown into the dead end of the enemy’s prison? All the pompous and elaborate preparations-’four
quaternions of soldiers’- four times four is sixteen-sixteen soldiers, two
chains, three gates with guards at each of them, Herod’s grim determination,
the people’s malicious expectation of having an execution as a pleasant
sensation with which to wind up the Passover Feast according to MacLaren's Expositions.
The divine Intervention came in the end, the chief oppressor of God’s people ‘Herod
. . . was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost, but
the Word of God grew and multiplied.’ Making fulfillment of His eternal Word,
touch not my anointed ones and do my prophets no harm… the Word is our anchor
testimony for our own time and experience. Moreso, for our testimony and to this end, we have tagged our
Bi monthly INTERCESSION & PRAYER WEEK; The PRAYER of the RIGHTEOUS.

Hear
Matthew Henry’s Concise Bible Commentary reveals how martyrs of faith Apostle James finished his course, however the enemy attacks,
it will always end up in our favour. But Peter, being designed for further
services, was safe; though he seemed now marked out for a speedy sacrifice. We
that live in a cold, prayerless generation, can hardly form an idea of the
earnestness of these holy men of old. But if the Lord should bring on the Church
an awful persecution like this of Herod, the faithful in Christ would learn
what soul-felt prayer is.
Peter
therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church
unto God for him. Gills Exposition of the Entire Bible also Reveals how prayer
was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him; this was not done by
them as a body together, but either by them in several bands at different
places, or by some of the principal of the church at someone certain place, and
where they might frequently change companies, and keep on a continual incessant
prayer for days together; and whereas it is very likely it might be at the
beginning of the passover, when Peter was taken up, and it was now at the close
of it, when he was delivered, the church might be engaged by companies
alternately, a whole week together, in prayer, on this occasion.
And then, the prayers of the
godly overturn the counsel of tyrants, obtain angels from God, break the
prison, unloose the chains, put Satan to flight, and preserve the Church and
the people of God.
This is
my prayer for you, Just like the angel of
the Lord came to rescue and deliver Apostle Peter, and the light shined into the
prison, I see GOD stepping into that seeming impossible situation and His
eternal light overwhelm the forces of darkness in that heart desire of yours even
as we pray together making INTERCESSION that cannot be uttered in Jesus name
Amen!
I am so
in love with the sequence of thought that occurs in that grand manifestation of
the Omnipotent GOD in the eighteenth Psalm, ‘My cry entered into His ears; then
the earth shook and trembled’; and there came all the magnificence of the
thunderstorm and the earthquake and the divine manifestation; and this was the
purpose of it all-’He sent from above, He took me, He drew me out of many
waters.’ The whole energy of the divine nature is set in motion and comes
swooping down from highest heaven to the trembling earth. And so deliverance
and divine intervention came for Peter in the prison because God was revealing
to the Church the POWER of INTERCESSION, especially the coming TOGETHER to call
on His Holy name as touching His Kingdom, Power and Glory!

Here is
the Testimony from the illustrated Scriptures for the revelation, THE POWER OF
INTERCESSION… Acts 12:1-11
1 ABOUT THAT
time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to afflict and oppress and
torment some who belonged to the church (assembly).
2 And he
killed James the brother of John with a sword;
3 And
when he saw that it was pleasing to the Jews, he proceeded further and arrested
Peter also. This was during the days of Unleavened Bread [the Passover week].
4 And
when he had seized [Peter], he put him in prison and delivered him to four
squads of soldiers of four each to guard him, purposing after the Passover to bring
him forth to the people.
5 So
Peter was kept in prison, but fervent prayer for him was persistently made to
God by the church (assembly).
6 The
very night before Herod was about to bring him forth, Peter was sleeping
between two soldiers, fastened with two chains, and sentries before the door
were guarding the prison.
7 And
suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared [standing beside him], and a light shone
in the place where he was. And the angel gently
smote
Peter on the side and awakened him, saying, Get up quickly! And the chains fell
off his hands.
8 And
the angel said to him, Tighten your belt and bind on your sandals. And he did
so. And he said to him, Wrap your outer garment around you and follow me.
9 And
[Peter] went out [along] following him, and he was not conscious that what was
apparently being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a
vision.
10 When
they had passed through the first guard and the second, they came to the Iron
Gate which leads into the city. Of its own accord [the gate] swung open, and
they went out and passed on through one street; and at once the angel left him.
11 Then
Peter came to himself and said, Now I really know and am sure that the Lord has
sent His angel and delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all that the
Jewish people were expecting [to do to me]. AMP Bible Version.
GOD
BLESS YOU ALL!
